Looking for a delicious and healthy snack that satisfies that crunch craving?

These simple roasted chickpeas are fantastic. Who knew something out of a can could taste this great roasted?! Just combine them with a little oil and your favorite mix of seasonings for an easy and tasty fiber-filled snack! You can make these in either the oven or the air fryer. Both methods will yield crispy chickpeas, but the air fryer takes less time!

You can use whichever seasoning blend you’d like, but try this awesome Hidden Valley Ranch Fiesta seasoning for a zesty almost spicy flavor kick! I realize it’s supposed to be used in a sour cream dip but we love this dry seasoning on veggies.

Are garbanzo beans chickpeas?

Yes! There are no differences between chickpeas and garbanzo beans and they go by either name. I always keep some in the pantry to make quick homemade hummus and chickpea salad. It turns out roasting them is also super delicious. This inexpensive pantry staple makes a great snack.

More tips for making these crispy roasted chickpeas:

  • You can easily make half a batch if you’d like. Just use one can of chickpeas and half as much olive oil and seasoning!
  • Here’s a storage tip. Keeping them in a plastic bag will lose their crispness. If you have a few leftovers try storing in glass or just on the counter uncovered for up to a couple of days.

Let them cool for a bit and they come out crunchy and super delicious! The texture is almost like Corn Nuts. My whole family loves them and they were gone way too quickly!

We love this fiesta ranch flavor, and can’t wait to try out a different one next time. Some additional seasoning combos to try are cinnamon/sugar, paprika/garlic, and rosemary/thyme.

My teammate Bryn loves this snack! Here’s what she says about these crispy chickpeas:

“If you’re looking for a healthy and satisfying snack, you must give this recipe a try! First off, the simplicity of the recipe is unbeatable – you just need a few ingredients and about 5 mins of prep time!
The air frying method gives the chickpeas the perfect crispy texture on the outside, while still maintaining a creamy interior. And I like that you can customize the seasoning to suit your taste preferences, whether you’re craving something spicy, tangy, or even sweet. Trust me, once you try them, you’ll be hooked just like I am. Happy snacking!”
